John Ely
As Senior Vice President of Marketing at Signature Worldwide, John is the local customer experience guru. In 2008 alone John published over 20 articles on the topic. He is also responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating strategic marketing and corporate growth plans. He joined Signature in November 2006 and has more than 16 years of industrial and consumer marketing experience.
John is an accomplished executive in developing and managing corporate launches for products and services while working for such companies as RFG Associates, A Solar Company, Vanner Inc. and Teledyne MEC.
Most recently, John worked for Crane Plastics as new market development director where he led such initiatives as designing and facilitating market studies, including consumer preferences, client relations and competitive research. His efforts focused on strategic marketing such as market penetration, and product and service positioning.
John has an associate’s degree in electrical engineering, a bachelor’s in technical management and a master’s in marketing and communications. He is a member of the American Marketing and Product Development Management associations, and has served as a marketing professor at Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio, for several years.
Amanda Gambill
Communication Specialist Amanda Gambill is responsible for managing Signature Worldwide’s external communications with a primary focus on e-marketing and public relations.
Prior to joining Signature in 2004, Amanda worked in the communications and marketing departments of such corporations as Ashland, Inc., The Longaberger Company and Lane Bryant. She also started her career as a publications coordinator for the Columbus Bar Association and Ohio Newspaper Association. With more than 10 years of communications experience, Amanda also works as a freelance writer for Blair Communications.
With a major in public relations and minor in broadcasting from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, Amanda believes strongly in continued learning and professional development. She is president of the Columbus chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and has been a board member of IABC for seven years. Amanda has served as the vice president of communications, job bank director, student chapter liaison, co-coordinator of awards gala and president-elect.
